She was mad as hell. She saw him with a new woman and flipped out. Talking about he was cheating on her and all that.
Her: He's supposed to be with me.
Me: But y'all ain't been together for like three years.
Her: I know, but we never officially broke up. We was just beefing.
Me: For three years?
Her: As far as I'm concerned, we was only separated. We're soulmates...twin flames. If we was broke up, he should've said something.
Me: đ Girl, he's been moved on. Can't you see that? I don't care what he said, where is he? The way I see it, this new chick ain't just some random woman he's "dating." They engaged, living together, paying bills, the whole nine. Sound like he broke up, but didn't inform you.
She wasn't hearing that, so, I broke it down: Sometimes people are not going to give us the closure we want. They're not going to give us all the reasons why they left or stopped dealing with us. We want the explanation, the last call, the last talk, the last hoorah, the last goodbye. It's an opportunity to plead our case and get the last word in. But that's not how it always works.
Sometimes people are just through.
They walk away because that makes sense for their soul, not yours. They're tired of explaining, arguing and going back and forth. They will even lie and tell you what you want to hear just to end the conversation. It ain't right, but that's how it goes.
And sometimes it's karma. If you treated that person bad or didn't appreciate them, then they're simply giving it right back to you. Don't be mad. Take in the experience and learn for next time. Because if a person really wanted to be down for you in a romance or friendship, you'd know. They'd show up daily. Men talk with their actions, not words.
It's up to us to listen.
That's it, that's all.
