Born in Oakland, California, La’Chris began her acting career in Dubai, United Arab Emirates where she was a member of the Dubai Drama Group. While there, she performed in various and plays such as One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and Get a Life. La’Chris returned to the U.S. and acted in such classics as Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, A Streetcar Named Desire, The Crucible, Hamlet, and Lisa Kron’s Well.
La’Chris is also a published poet, novelist and award-winning playwright who was named one of the "50 to WATCH" by the Dramatists Guild of America. A graduate of the University of Washington and semifinalist for the 2013 Lila Acheson Wallace American Playwright
Program at Juilliard, La’Chris is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild and the International Centre for Women Playwrights. A broadcast journalism graduate of the University of Washington, La'Chris resides in Los Angeles, California.
